It was a cool morning hike when the fog started rolling into the valley. I was just getting ready to descend the mountain when I turned around and noticed this tree standing there at the edge and I just knew I had to take the shot.

Black and white was an obvious choice for me with this image as the contrast with the tree and white foggy background really works and creates a great sense of depth.

This image would work in a variety of sizes whether it’d be on the small scale resting on a tabletop or bench, or as large as the wall where you feel like you’re right there in the scene.
